Job description

We are looking for highly skilled Staff Accountants for several companies in the Fairfield area. Looking for candidates who are interested in growing with a company and can bring a strong accounting experience to a growing finance team.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

• Responsible for accuracy of the financial records.
• Post journal entries for all modules of the companies MRP software to the general ledger.
• Create and post various manual journal entries to the general ledger.
• Prepare monthly reconciliations for designated balance sheet accounts and work with appropriate parties to resolve discrepancies.
• Add/maintain vendor master files in ERP system as requested.
• Assist in the administration of company credit card program, coordinate statement delivery to all credit card holders to reconcile their individual credit cards.
• Responsible for commissions from reviewing the order for the commission due, to the amounts due for payment and submitting to Accounts Payable for payment.
• Reconciling the account and responding to distributor inquiries regarding commissions.
• Responsible for the environmental project and corresponding general ledger accounts, including billing to a responsible third party. Work with appropriate parties to ensure accuracy in billing, update on the project in general and maintain all records for project.
• Prepare work papers for external auditors.
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Pay: $55,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
