STAFF ACCOUNTANT

The Accounting Department at Southern Tire Mart at Pilot Flying J (STMP), headquartered in Columbia, MS, is hiring a Staff Accountant. This individual will be responsible for maintaining financial procedures and confirming financial compliance through the preparation of reports and statements.

With 37 locations across 20 states, Southern Tire Mart at Pilot Flying J is dedicated to keeping drivers road-ready with standard truck services, including preventive maintenance, tire care and 24/7 roadside assistance.

Responsibilities

· Maintaining financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts

· Preparing journal entries, analysis, and account reconciliations

· Assisting with month-end processes

· Maintaining and preparing fixed asset schedules

· Regulatory filings for sales tax, tire fees, etc.

Requirements

· Bachelor's degree in Accounting

· Three to Five years experience

· Highly organized and detail-oriented

· Proficient in Microsoft Office

· Confidentiality and integrity
