WHAT DOES MY WORKDAY LOOK LIKE IN THIS ROLE?Reporting to the Director of Finance, the primary responsibilities for this role include General Ledger and Financial Analysis related activities such as journal entries, account reconciliations, budget preparations, fixed assets accountability, and assisting in project analysis.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
General Ledger
- Processing of month end close Journal Entries including intercompany, accruals, reversing entries, cash and eliminations,
- Daily Dashboard report to Executive Leadership.
- Identify and drive operational efficiencies as well as enhancing procedures and standard work instructions.
- Month end trend and variance analysis of key accounts.
- Weekly Sales and Production report to Management.
- Daily Dashboard report to Executive Leadership.
- Preparation and review of Financial Statements (IS, BS and CF).
- Review and analysis of bi-weekly Payroll and processing of Payroll Journal Entries.
- Review and analysis of monthly commission Payroll as well as processing these Journal Entries.
- Entering ACH’s
- Reconciling cash daily for all transactions.
- Monthly, quarterly and annual sales and use tax filings on state websites.
- Create CIP accounts and track various capital projects.
- Monthly reconciliation of key accounts including Prepaids, Cash, CC’s and “miscellaneous” accounts.
- Back up to AR/AP positions.
- Miscellaneous projects and duties to include working with External Accounting firm for Tax and Audit, ERP. implementation, Due Diligence on M&A acquisitions, etc.
- Bachelor’s Degree and/or Master’s Degree in Business Administration or related, with accounting emphasis.
- At least one (1) plus years of related accounting function experience preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent Excel skills to assimilate large amounts of data into meaningful analyses that is easy to use and understand. Solid experience working in the remainder of the Microsoft Office Suite product family.
- Prior work experience in the IBM iSeries platform (AS400) for custom applications and RPG based ERP systems strongly preferred.
- Ability to be credible, ethical, confidential and provide full disclosure.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, ability to articulate recommendations clearly and concisely.
- Responsive team player with ability to quickly prioritize among numerous pressing tasks.
- Be dependable, work the agreed upon schedule and have reliable transportation.
