As a Staff Software Engineer at Health Gorilla, you will report to the Engineering Manager on our Engineering team. You will work on leading and completing engineering projects, developing technical architecture, and providing technical expertise to Health Gorilla.
What you will do at Health Gorilla
- Deliver engineering projects from concept to completion
- Develop and implement design strategies to improve products and systems
- Provide technical expertise, including troubleshooting and solutions, lead complex problem investigations
- Collaborate with Health Gorilla teams and clients to develop and implement solutions
- Manage project timelines, work with Product Managers on functional and non-functional requirements
- Mentor junior engineers
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements
What you bring to the role
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field or equivalent work experience
- 7+ years of experience in engineering or a related field
- Subject matter expert in Core Java, MongoDB, ActiveMQ, and AWS
- Technical expertise in engineering principles and practices
- Experience leading and accomplishing engineering projects
- Solve today's challenges while acquiring tech debt strategically, pay off when practical
- Experience managing project timelines, budgets, and resources
- Desire to mentor engineers
- Familiarity with healthcare industry standards and regulations
What You Will Love About Us!
- Health Gorilla takes a market-based approach to pay, and the base salary range for this role is $152,000 to $220,000, based on experience and geography. Please note that ranges may be modified at any time, and there is no guarantee offers will be at the top of a posted range.
