Staff Nuclear Pharmacist
Company Description:
The company is a specialty nuclear pharmacy business that operates a network of pharmacies in the secondary markets that distribute compounded isotopes to hospitals, clinics and medical facilities across the United States. About the Role:
Reporting to the Pharmacy Manager, the Staff Nuclear Pharmacist will play an essential role in compounding and dispensing radiopharmaceuticals and other services to medical care providers and facilities under highly regulated State and Federal guidelines.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Prepares and dispenses radiopharmaceuticals per physician prescriptions and Company, State and Federal regulations.
2. Performs Quality Control testing on all dispensed products. Complies with all Company, State and Federal requirements for the handling and shipping of radioactive material.
3. Assesses medications to determine identity, purity and strength; performs white blood cell labeling, enters daily elutions, kit preparations, and inventory audits.
4. Assists the Pharmacy Manager with overseeing pharmacy staff, technicians, lab workers and drivers. Has the capability to oversee running of the facility, known as Pharmacist in Charge, as needed.
5. Assists with the monitoring and control of operational expenses within the pharmacy.
6. Has the ability to work days, nights, weekends, holidays and on-call.
7. Provides clinical support for customers with radiopharmaceutical questions.
8. Provides training and instruction to pharmacy technicians and nuclear medicine technology students.
9. Performs other job-related duties as required by the Pharmacy Manager.
Minimum Job Requirements:
· Must be a Registered Pharmacist with 1+ years nuclear pharmacist experience.
· Active State licensure and nuclear certification required.
· Authorized User Status designation preferred.

Pay: $110,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
