McGee Air Services* is looking for Station Agents*
Station Agents (Ramp/Fleet) are key members of the McGee team and perform functions necessary to provide passenger service support and to turn aircraft on-time, with a focus on safety and service. At any given location, Station Agents may perform above- or below-wing functions, wheelchair services, or a combination of the three.

JOB FUNCTIONS (MAY VARY ACCORDING TO LOCATION)
Below the Wing Aircraft handling and servicing

  • Perform all facets of aircraft handling (e.g., marshalling, push-back, wing-walking)
  • Perform fleet functions and other servicing (e.g., cabin and overnight cleaning, lavatory, water)
  • Maintain work areas and ensure the proper care of equipment
  • Operate ramp equipment and other equipment such as tugs/tractors, beltloaders and forklifts
  • Work outdoors with exposure to the elements and high noise levels for eight hours or more per workday

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must demonstrate safe work habits at all times
  • Ability to work at a constant and quick pace for up to two consecutive hours
  • Able to work varied shifts; weekends and holidays required
  • Reliable and good attendance and punctuality
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with an ability to get along with others
  • Ability to perform work according to set procedures
  • Ability to anticipate needs of others in a fast paced environment
  • Understanding and ability to utilize electronic tools to interpret flight schedules and airline flight destination information
  • Ability to obtain and maintain airport security clearance and/or USPS security clearance including background criminal history check, drug screen and fingerprinting required by specific work assignment
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record as required
  • Knowledge of operation of industrial equipment and previous experience preferred as required by location
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical functions (e.g., counting bags, verifying cargo weights)
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds on a frequent basis
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

ADDITIONAL: GENERAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS SUMMARY

  • This position requires significant physical agility and physical mobility.
  • Must comfortably, frequently, continuously and within short timelines: lift, carry, and move heavy items; work in cramped or high places; climb, bend, kneel, crawl, and stoop for extended periods of time; carry heavy items up and down stairs; push/pull loaded and empty carts; and stand for extended periods.
