Job Details:
Responsible for cleaning, assembling, packaging and sterilizing all surgical instruments and equipment from all areas of the health care facility as well as the operationof the sterilizationand decontamination equipment and performs routine efficacy tests on equipment.Follows established infection control practices and adheres by Hospital and regulatory standards to ensure patient safety.
Experience:
- One (1) experience in Sterile Processing and/or surgical instrument reprocessing preferred.
Education:
High School diploma or equivalent.
Licenses/Certifications:
Either: IAHCSMM – International Association of Healthcare Central Service Material Management CBSPD – Certification Board of Sterile Processing and Distribution If not certified, must attain certification status within 18 months of employment
