ORGANIZATIONAL SUMMARY:

The College of Arts and Sciences Advancement area is impactful on student success and faculty research by supporting academic scholarships, study abroad scholarships, undergraduate and graduate research, faculty research / scholarship, departments, centers, institutes or programs. CAS-Advancement secure private support for the College of Arts and Sciences and priorities set by the Dean and provide engagement and stewardship for all donors.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for managing student interactions with alumni and donors, and leadership opportunities for members of the Dean's Student Leadership Society and other CAS students, and provide administrative support for donor engagement and stewardship activities which help advance the mission of the Development Office and increase private support.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

Student Leadership & Engagement: Oversee the Dean's Student Leadership Society and all organization activity including, but not limited to, recruitment and member retention efforts, directing the President and Vice President(s) of committees on goals and initiatives within the organization, maintaining the DSLS handbook and web page and serve as point person and co-planner for Development events including DSLS members.

Donor recognition and stewardship: Assist with gathering information and review process for impact reports for all donors . Work with advancement administrator, development officers, faculty leadership, department staff and USF Foundation donor relations to execute customized stewardship initiatives for donors. Assist with donor gift orders and track inventory; prepare specialty gifts for acknowledgment, recognition and stewardship purposes. Provide customer service to donors.

Performs other work related duties as assigned

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

MINIMUM:

This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and four years of clerical experience, at least one of which must be directly related to development or community relations. College coursework may substitute for the required experience on a year for year basis.

PREFERRED:

Bachelors degree and a minimum of 1 year work experience preferred.
