The Gist...

A Strategic Communications Specialist is responsible for developing effective messaging and communication strategies with all forms of media to promote the adoption of an agency’s transformational technology initiative.

What Your Day Might Include...

• Designs, develops, produces and consults on a variety of internal communications materials and media
• Analyze and identify current and future communication needs and design and develop awareness and communication products to meet the needs
• Provide precise but comprehendible explanations to information recipients regarding non-technical and technical topics
• Applies specific functional knowledge, and working and general industry knowledge
• Develops or contributes to solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity

You'll Bring These Qualifications...

• 
  Experience with writing content and editing subject matter for print or online media
• Knowledge of strategic communications best practices
• Knowledge of plain language standards
• Knowledge of 508 accessibility requirements
• Knowledge of digital engagement and social media best practices
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely through oral, written or visual means
• Ability to engage with partner agency to develop slick sheets and other marketing materials
• Ability to develop talking points and corresponding FAQs for senior leadership engagements
• Master’s degree and minimum of 2 years of experience
