Our SWS expertise support of the strategic missions is of utmost importance to the US Navy.
As a Strategic Weapons Systems Analyst for KBS you will…
- Provide leadership and subject matter expertise as System Leader for the Trident II SWS Patrol Analyses to include Upkeep and Patrol Quick Looks (QLs), and Trident Analysis Reports (TARs).
- Serve as System Leader for Command Evaluation Test/ Follow-on Command Evaluation Test (CET/FCET) and Demonstration and Shake Down Operation (DASO).
- Lead technical studies to refine the weapon system performance requirements from the SWS level down to Shipboard and Flight segment levels.
- Identify and propose data collection requirements in support of system integration, system verification, system validation and system operational and sustainment, inclusive of patrol actions and shore-based SWS performance and surveillance analysis activities.
- Provide technical analysis and insight in responding to questions from the sponsor and the fleet relating to Trident II flight testing and data analysis.
Qualifications
You meet our minimum qualifications for the job if you...
- Have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical disciplines or Bachelor’s degree with relevant technical experience.
- Have 5+ years of relevant professional experience with and thorough understanding of the Trident II SWS.
- Have demonstrated skills in leadership, organization, and planning, with proven experience leading a team of diverse technical staff in solving complex problems.
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Are comfortable interacting effectively with individuals of different experience levels and backgrounds including external industry and military personnel.
- Are able to travel for meetings and extended field tests (approx. 20-30 days per year).
- Have an active Secret Clearance and are able to obtain a Top Secret level security clearance. If selected, you will be subject to a government security clearance investigation and must meet the requirements for access to classified information. Eligibility requirements include U.S. citizenship.
You'll go above and beyond our minimum requirements if you...
- 10+ years of experience with Trident SWS operations and/or test & evaluation.
- A Master’s degree in engineering or related technical fields.
- An active Top Secret clearance.
- Knowledge of the D5 Life Extension 2 (D5LE2) program.
- Familiarity with the Columbia class SSBN program.
- Experience with Model Based Engineering and Digital Engineering.
