Summary:
Stevenson University
The Student Accounts Representative will provide support for students and families contacting the Office of Student Accounts. The Representative will ensure students receives accurate information in a helpful and timely manner and will also be responsible for determining needs and directing callers to Financial Aid, Registrar, Residence Life, and other offices as needed. The Representative plays a significant role by providing excellent service to the Stevenson University Community.

Education/Experience:
High School diploma plus one year related work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in higher education and with Ellucian preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/Ability:
Excellent telephone and communication skills, and a consistent professional manner
Proficient with Word, Excel, Outlook. Experience with Datatel, Blackboard, and database reporting helpful.
Ability to convey information effectively both verbally and in writing
Ability to interact well with people of all ages and diverse backgrounds.
Ability to provide customer service and answer student inquiries regarding their financial status
Ability to resolve problems in a professional and helpful manner
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends
Physical Requirements:
Light Work: exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. Sedentary work. Keyboarding, talking hearing, repetitive motions. Close visual acuity. Not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions. Requires physical abilities consistent with a busy office environment on a university campus. Daily work with computers, monitors, copy machines and other office equipment.
Essential Functions:
Serve as the first contact for Student Accounts front desk and call center.
Provide professional and effective customer service interaction with a diverse population of students, staff, faculty, alumni and outside agencies.
Provide excellent customer service to assist students and parents navigating through the billing and payment process.
Maintain all information with utmost confidentiality.
Receive and process student payments in the student information system.
Process regular data entry, electronic filing, scanning, and other office duties as required.
Welcome and assist prospective or current student/family visitors.
Research, interpret and provide accurate information to the University community.
Ensure timeliness and data integrity of the Student Information System via accurate data entry.
Communicate regularly with Financial Aid and other offices to assist students/families.
Aid in disbursement of student account refunds each semester.
Retrieve, interpret and communicate information from the Student Information System, the website, Portal, and other resources.
Proactively forward complex issues and questions to the appropriate individual; follow up in a timely manner to ensure the student is helped or the issue is resolved.
Learn all aspects of Student Accounts to be as knowledgeable and helpful as possible.
Proactively collaborate with team members and work harmoniously to achieve student satisfaction.
