Job description
The Studio V Associate is responsible for the operation of Studio V retail store. The successful candidate will schedule and direct the day-to-day activities of the student aides who work as cashiers and visual merchandisers in Studio V. Provides daily and monthly sales reports to Accounting Department. Helps to recruit consignors and sales merchandise.
Recommends, to the program coordinator, student aides who act as cashiers and visual merchandisers.
Markets and plans special events and workshops.
Creates strategies for involving students from diverse departments throughout campus.(i.e. student aide for loss prevention - Criminal Justice Dept., Graphic Arts Club as consignors, Manufacturing Club as consignors, Art Students as consignors, development of our Business Plan by Business students, etc.)
Recruits new consignors and selects items to be sold.
Daily maintenance of store - cleaning and resetting store as needed.
Produces four (4) daily reports to accounting.
Conducts monthly inventory of all merchandise.
Creates and distributes monthly sales reports to consignors.
Performs related duties as assigned.
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements: Work is primarily within Studio V. Must be able to lift and transport a minimum of 40 lbs. Must have the ability to work with a diverse group of students and consignors.
Educational Requirements: Associate degree in fashion merchandising or related field required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
Experience Requirements: Three years of experience as an assistant manager or store manager required. Three years of experience in visual merchandising, display and/or retail sales preferred. Knowledge of ConsignPro System, Commerce Manager, and/or QuikPay preferred.
