The A Better Chance of Westport program is looking for a communicative and reliable individual to fill the position of Study Hall Proctor, starting immediately. This person will work one-on-one with 7 academically gifted and exceptionally driven young men of color during nightly Study Halls at Glendarcy House in Westport, CT, where the scholars reside during the school year. The Study Hall Proctor will: work with scholars on developing executive functioning skills, maintain the studious tone of study halls, help scholars to stay on task, and tutor scholars on varying subjects as needed. The position will work Monday - Thursday evenings from 7 - 9 pm throughout the academic school year, which lasts from September - June. While the commitment for the position is one school year, we hope the person chosen is open to returning for more than one term. The individual that performs this role within the ABC of Westport program should be reliable, enthusiastic about learning, organized, and communicative.
