Subsistence Supply Management Office (SMMO) - Fort Rucker is responsible for all SSMO operations under this effort and must have at least 5 years of supervisory experience and a comprehensive knowledge of governing regulations, policies, procedures and instructions in supply subsistence management. The SSMO Supervisor must have comprehensive knowledge in Field Feeding and Operational Ration Programs, ordering, receiving, storing, issuing and conducting required inventories of operational rations, supplements, ice, and bottled water; monitoring unit field accounts; and, maintaining operational rations and bottled water stocks for contingencies. Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform requisition, receipt, storage, issue, inventory, accounting, inspection, turn-in and disposal functions of rations at the Subsistence Supply Management Office (SSMO). The contractor shall operate the SSMO in accordance with AR 30-22, AR 385-10, DA PAM 30-22, Army Food Management Information System (AFMIS) and Subsistence Total Order Receipt Electronic System (STORES) manuals and SSMO SOPs.- Manually close out all accounts on a monthly basis, conduct a monthly inventory of all on-hand stocks, analyze and close accounts in AFMIS monthly, conduct a closeout process annually at the end of September each year and serve as a member of the Year-End Closeout Committee.
- Review the Veterinary Service generated Retail Food Establishment Inspection Report (MEDCOM Form 640), take corrective actions, respond in writing to Veterinary Service Personnel (VSP) within 2 business days after receipt of report, provide a copy to the KO or designated representative and maintain a copy in accordance with AR 30-22 and TB MED 530.
- Maintain a supply of operational rations, Meals Ready to Eat (MRE), Unitized Group Rations, Food Packet Survival, Long Range Patrol (LRP) Rations, UHT Milk, Field Bread, Ice and Carbonated Beverages to support the Installation. Upon request from customers via LIS, fax, or in person, the contractor shall issue these items from stock. The contractor shall provide Unitized Group Rations, Food Packet Survival, LRP Rations and Field Bread on an as needed basis.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
The SSMO supervisor must have a comprehensive knowledge of the installation’s supply, services and equipment management processes, related regulations and is required to ensure effective accountability of all assigned property.- Intricate knowledge of analytical techniques and causative research skills to identify areas of needed emphasis to recommend improvements.
- The SSMO supervisor must possess operational skills and knowledge of the automated supply and service systems utilized and must possess the appropriate verbal and written communications skills to conduct meetings, execute plans, and prepare reports, plans, and working instructions.
Minimum Job Requirements:
5 years experience working SSMO functions on Army installations or at the Division level- 3 years experience supervising employees
- Expert knowledge of Army processes, procedures, techniques and regulatory guidance on SSMO functions
