Job Description Summary
Saint Leo University Advancement Ambassadors are a critical component to keeping open lines of communication with Saint Leo University donors, alumni, parents, and friends. Working as an Advancement Ambassador is an excellent opportunity to develop skills employers seek: communication, negotiation, fundraising knowledge, and expertise. All of this is possible while networking with a wide variety of members of the Lions’ family. This position requires strong written and verbal communication skills, a problem-solving mentality, the ability to think strategically in a fast-paced environment, and a genuine desire to advance the mission of Saint Leo.
The Advancement Ambassadors will serve a key supportive role for the division of University Advancement. These areas include Development, Alumni Engagement, and Advancement Services.

Responsibilities and Duties:
- Call constituents (alumni, parents, and friends) to steward donors and event attendees, update demographic information, and acquire gifts to support the university’s fundraising campaigns.
- Serve as an ambassador for Saint Leo University by discussing University projects, accolades, and accomplishments at University events. Support with daily/weekly printing and mailing tasks.
- Commit to a minimum of three 2-hour shifts out of five available shifts per week. Scheduled times may vary based on university events and staffing needs.
- Build your resume: Develop strong communication, networking, negotiation, fundraising, and marketing skills.
- Network with Lions in a multitude of professions throughout the country.
