This role is a long-term employment opportunity for COMMERCIAL CONSTRUCTION Superintendents in the Phoenix Metropolitan area.

The Project Superintendent role requires experience with effectively coordinating and directing field operations and the subcontractor trades, managing project schedules and overseeing and ensuring quality control and safety for COMMERCIAL CONSTRUCTION projects. Applicants must have good organizational and project status reporting skills. The Project Superintendent must also have the ability to develop and maintain a cooperative and collaborative relationships with owners, project managers, subcontractors and A&E teams and deliver a quality finished product on time SAFELY and within budget.

Responsibilities Include:

• Understand, support and maintain project safety in accordance with Caliente Construction's Safety Policy and Procedure Manual.
• Experience with, and the ability to effectively coordinate and supervise subcontractor trades, manage project schedules, oversee and ensure quality control and safety for COMMERCIAL CONSTRUCTION projects.
• Review project plans and participate in project scheduling, logistics and safety planning
• Ensure the submittal review and approval system is accurate and timely.
• Supervise and effectively manage multiple trade contractors for commercial construction projects of varying scopes and in a fast-paced environment.
• Monitor job costing, quality and quantity reporting, forecasting and productivity. Document all delays, back charges, and additional work; initiate changes to keep the project on schedule.
• Ability to understand and ensure compliance with prime contract and subcontract terms and obligations
• Create "look ahead" schedules to update the master schedule.
• Provide job site safety inspections, toolbox safety training.
• Manage quality control including inspection of work, maintain "rolling" punch list, and coordinate inspections.
• Attend and participate in project owner's meeting and manage weekly trade meetings.
• Conduct review of as-built drawings to assure they are in compliance with specs, communication records, phone conversations, time cards, etc., are complete, accurate and filed in a timely manner.
• Some travel may be required

Skills and Attributes

• A high school diploma is required. Industry related college degree is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents; knowledge of construction methods and materials.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office. Experience with Viewpoint, Bluebeam, and MS Project is preferred.
• Strong leadership skills coupled with a positive attitude
• Ability to create and maintain good relationships with clients is essential
• Organized, efficient with good written and verbal communication skills
• Verifiable record of long-term employment
