Description:WORK SUMMARY:
The primary responsibility of the Supervisor - Central Intake is to minimize the waiting period, endure proper intake documentation and to maximize client admissions into Haymarket Center.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Assign and monitor Central Intake and oversee assessors to process specific admissions.
- Coordinate work shift scheduling, coverage and time off approval for Intake Phone Screeners and Assessors.
- Train, monitor and evaluate employee performance.
- Provide routine supervision and initiate disciplinary action for approval when applicable.
- Resolving issues/problems as it relates to the Admissions Section.
- Supervise by walking around and being visible to answer questions, provide support and technical assistance.
- Coordinate bed availability and assigns client to bed.
- Coordinate client appointments for admission to IOP/OP services.
- Perform random chart audits to insure quality and accuracy of data.
- Insure the delivery of client’s clothing to laundry after search.
- Verifies patient picture is in Care-Logic for clients receiving treatment in IOP and Recovery Homes.
- Inquire and document post-admission disposition of patients to their clinical units.
- Insure all clients have urine drops prior to receiving intake.
- Screen callers to determine their needs and assigns to applicable staff.
- Handles more complex caller questions regarding Haymarket Center programming.
- Schedule patients for assessment, when necessary.
- Inform hospitals and other health facilities of bed availability.
- Acts as safety committee representative and lead safety drills (staff, visitors, clients)
- Process and distribute all incoming faxes
- Will track incoming calls and converted calls to appointments
- Maintain daily call statistics
- Conduct follow-up reminder calls to clients regarding appointments when necessary.
- Call hospitals and other facilities letting them know open beds, when time
- Must be able to work flexible hours, days, and cover extra shift if needed
SKILLS
- Must be able to demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills.
- Must demonstrate exceptional customer service techniques.
- Must be able to multi-task and be detail oriented
- Must have intermediate Microsoft Office skills
Requirements:EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Must have a high school diploma or GED (minimum required).
- Must be knowledgeable of MCO policies and detox/treatment/recovery programming.
- Must be knowledgeable of acceptable funding sources, eligibility and verification.
- Must work well as part of a team and work well with the Director and all staff.
- Must be Gain Certified or able to obtain within 90 days of hire.
- Must have CADC or able to obtain within two (2) years of employment.
