Job Purpose:
Supervises and coordinates activities of workers concerned with inventory accuracy, system maintenance of inventory and system set up by performing the following duties:


Duties and Responsibilities
:

  • Maintain updated and accurate records of inventory including transfers and cycle counts.
  • Review and apply inventory activities, including movement and deletions.
  • Review documentation and monitor product codes to search for discrepancies; trouble shoot quantity discrepancies between stock and records.
  • Studies and standardize procedures to improve efficiencies.
  • Schedules work for periodic (3 annual cycle counts) inventories
  • Prepares composite reports from daily individual reports.
  • Manage all subordinate employees with respect, dignity, fairness and consistency every day
  • Completes daily Ultipro employee time keeping exception reports
  • Inspects material handling equipment and scanners for defects, notifies maintenance personnel accordingly
  • Compiles daily reports and communicates to Senior DC Operations Manager all issues related to inventory.
  • Confers with Purchasing and other departments as necessary to answer inventory questions.
  • Promotes safety at all times and the administration of company policies.


Skills/Qualifications/Education/Licenses & Certifications: High school diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


Computer skills
: Working knowledge/administration of all Smart Office inventory related programs, Microsoft Office a plus

Physical Demands:
Good color vision preferable. Frequently required to stand, walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. Occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.


Work environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals and risk of radiation. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
