POSITION SUMMARY
This position is central to coordinating the daily responsibilities of the Environmental Services Department, with primary focus on conference room setup and event preparation, working closely with the Welcome Center, Food Service and Facilities teams. This position will ensure guests are taken care of, and staff is supported in the daily routines, especially in the absence of the Manager Environmental Services.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
The position reports to the Manager of Environmental and Audiovisual Services.
- Primary contact within the department regarding customer-based A/V and setup requirements.
- Responsible for ensuring customer-requested specifics for upcoming events are capable of being met/exceeded, having proper equipment in place and ready for implementation
- Coordinating any exceptions to available equipment with Manager, in a timely fashion to allow for proper reaction of securing alternative equipment to support guest needs.
- Primary point of contact when the Manager Environmental Services is not on duty β ensuring the Environmental Services Team is properly directed, and issues are resolved/escalated as appropriate; Responsibilities include, but not limited to: inspecting rooms, verifying and reporting status and/or discrepancies of rooms and entering into property management system (as needed).
- Provide all guests with a lasting experience of the Center, with intent for return business;
- Provide minor repair and maintenance capability for guests, staff, and PH residents;
- Maintain a friendly and approachable attitude towards guests and staff;
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance;
- Maintain housekeeping supplies and inventory, recommending purchases.
- Assisting decision processes with conscious effort toward reducing our carbon footprint.
- Address guest/staff/resident concerns, communicating with appropriate parties, through to closure of issue;
- Complete all other duties as assigned.
SKILLS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Required Qualifications
- A High School diploma or GED;
- Minimum of 2 years working in a housekeeping, maintenance, or Environmental Services role; in certain situations, similar work experience may meet this requirement;
- Basic Microsoft Office skills;
- Working knowledge of video cameras, webcams, or other multimedia devices;
- Capable of supporting audio/video systems in conference rooms, with ability to train staff, and ensure appropriate maintenance protocol is in place and adhered to;
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, meeting deadlines as expected;
- Proven experience working well with both external customers, and co-workers, in a role where customer service is essential;
- Ability to work independently, while referring any unusual circumstances to the Manager Environmental Services;
- In addition to training, guide staff members with own actions;

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with Smart Hotel software system;
- Experience with commercial A/V equipment;
- Supervisory experience
