MPF Federal is hiring for Supervisor-Shipping-Purchasing Coordinator to support our clients evolving environmental health research mission in Research Triangle Park, NC.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Provide direct supervision of animal care contract staff assigned to the EPA animal facility.
• Provide implementation and assist in the oversight of staff evaluation, mentoring and correction.

• Comprehend, follow, and ensure all project duties are performed in accordance with the contract statement of work, project SOP’s and policies.

• Assist with animal care duties to include animal observation, cage changing, cagewash assistance, and any other animal care duties as needed.
• Check all facility environmental parameters and report all deviations to the appropriate individuals.
• Check room lighting systems, watering systems, and automated caging systems for proper function. Provide simple repairs as needed.
• Assist staff with on-the-job training and to achieve their goals.
• Maintain and provide weekly facility supply inventories. Assist with ordering supplies.
• Coordinate the use of transportation to include, trash and carcass removal, pick-up and delivery of animals, supply pick-up and delivery, and any other transportation.
• Participate in weekly meetings with staff, project manager, and Team MPF.
• Communicate with customer in an effective and professional manner.

• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly QA/QC to ensure excellent performance.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned by management.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by Team MPF Management

Qualifications:

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must hold a current AALAS certification at the ALAT level or be able to test.
• 5 years of laboratory animal experience, fundamental knowledge of multiple animal species, and have previous supervisory experience

• Ability to work 7:00am and 4:00pm (Monday through Friday). May be required to work weekend, holiday, and after hours work is required as scheduled . The weekend/holiday hours are from 7:00am-11:00am.

• Must be a US Citizen and ability to obtain a clearance
• COVID-19 vaccine and proof of full vaccination required
