The Supply Chain & Inventory Planner will report directly to the Senior SIOP Manager at DAP and will have such authority, perform such duties, discharge such responsibilities and render such services as are customary to and consistent with such positions, subject to the authority and direction of the Senior SIOP Manager at DAP. In this role, the SIOP Planner will own and drive the alignment of demand and supply plans for a set of products. In support of DAP’s overall inventory strategy, he/she will be responsible for calculating target inventory levels, monitoring, and analyzing finished goods inventory across DAP’s network of distribution centers and developing recommendations to improve inventory performance while maximizing customer service, revenue, and gross margin.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain an accurate, unbiased 12-18 month rolling inventory plan at the material level, utilizing multiple forecast inputs, strategic plans, priorities, and target inventory levels.
  • Identify imbalances, create scenarios, and develop recommendations for improved performance in a proactive manner
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to execute action plans to mitigate risks/capitalize on opportunities
  • Determine appropriate stocking policies and target inventory levels, including safety and cycle stock for finished goods
  • Analyze and communicate results effectively and concisely at the level of detail appropriate for the audience
  • Publish metrics, reports, and ad-hoc analyses to a broad team
  • Participate in meetings, document business assumptions, and help drive accountability
  • Enhance reporting for monthly/quarterly/annual reviews and drive storytelling with data
  • Support continuous improvement efforts to take the SIOP Process to the next level

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, Supply Chain or Operations preferred
  • 0-2 years of supply chain, operations, or planning related experience
  • Solution-oriented and ability to build/improve efficient processes
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel and PowerPoint knowledge
  • Experience using ERP (SAP preferred) and planning systems
  • Must be comfortable working in high growth environment where priorities shift real time.
