SUMMARY

The Supply Chain Planner will play a key role in servicing Siplast customers through the integrated supply and demand planning of manufactured finished goods. As part of the monthly Sales & Operations Planning process, this planning entails developing Master Production Schedules, Capacity planning, and Demand planning for each service area. It also includes making recommendations in Demand/Supply Balancing (Sales) Meetings. In order to meet demand and support inventory-build strategies, the supply chain planner will also create distribution plans with supply chain operations. This position calls for an integrated planning approach that will support the company's core (A, B, C Items) production and supply chain business outcomes. The optimal production schedule, plant staffing, completed good network sourcing, and inventory levels will all be decided upon and influenced by the supply chain planner. Additionally, the supply chain planner is in charge of estimating finished goods demand for the region they service. To guarantee that sales possibilities are satisfied in a timely and economical manner, this position will be closely integrated within Supply Chain and will collaborate with Demand Planning, Logistics, and Procurement, as well as Plant Logistics, Manufacturing, Sales, and Customer Service. The planner will be required to have a thorough understanding of the supply chain metrics that he or she influences and to take action to promote change.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • 25% Planning for inventories and master planning. Deep comprehension of PeopleSoft (for both Siplast and GAF), WMS, Tableau, Google Sheets, and supporting systems are all required for this role. The Supply Chain planner will work closely with the production planners at both the Siplast Arkadelphia, and Gum Springs plants in collaboration with the GAF supply chain planner to produce a plan that meets operation best performance practices through production planning sequencing. The supply chain planner will be required to routinely examine the master plans and, as necessary, make adjustments to maintain minimum and maximum levels and balance inventories. Understanding the influence on the functioning of the plant, raw material supply, customer orders, transportation, and warehousing requires an integrated approach to this role. To guarantee optimal service levels, the supply chain planner will balance inventory and production plans across products based on demand; eliminate slow-moving, obsolete, and off-spec finished goods material (SMOOSI); and implement the necessary measures to lower vulnerability to Siplast and GAF
  • 30% Planning and forecasting for demand. The supply chain planner is in charge of forecast data through Google Sheets for finished items for the region they are planning. To ensure the best supply of finished goods is produced, this calls for an integrated planning strategy and close coordination with Sales, customer service, and Manufacturing. In order to examine and amend the 4-week (or 120 days) projection, which is updated by the supply chain planner and analyst, the supply chain planner will work closely with multiple levels of sales, customer services, and senior levels that support product execution plans. This will need thorough comprehension, methodical setup, and ongoing performance improvements of existing software systems.
  • 25% Planning for Distribution Replenishment The duty of the supply chain planner will be to comprehend the company's product sales performance areas, including where regions of the nation the product can be offered in and why. Integration with sales, marketing, and advanced analytics will be necessary for this. The responsibility of the supply chain planner is to make sure that the network's warehouse locations are filled with their products and that they are distributed as economically as possible. Working with Sales, Supply Chain Operations, and Advanced Analytics on the decisions, the Supply Chain Planner should be recommending stocking numbers and locations depending on demand and making sure that the systemic setup reflects this.
  • 20% Demand/Supply Balancing. The Supply Chain Planner will be required to use the analytic planning tools/systems to make suggestions on staffing, production hours, and inventory levels in order to fulfill demand, provide Siplast/GAF with value, and provide our customers with the best possible service.To meet overall corporate objectives, the supply chain planner will lead an integrated planning approach that calls for coordination between all supply chain functions, and manufacturing.

General knowledge/skills

  • Must possess strong organizational and problem-solving abilities as well as effective written and vocal communication skills.
  • Must be able to prioritize, work independently or in a collaborative atmosphere, and multitask.
  • Must be an excellent leader with a solid grasp of planning/warehouse operations.
  • Basic knowledge of DOT, Warehouse GMP, and other relevant regulatory processes is highly recommended.
  • Must have good written and verbal communication skills and organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Develops solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Refers to policies and practices for guidance.
  • Quantitative analysis expertise

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to climb stairs. Frequent sitting, walking and standing, and occasional climbing stooping kneeling and crouching.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Oral and auditory capacity enables interpersonal communication as well as communication through automated devices such as the telephone.
  • Frequent use of eye, hand, and finger coordination enabling the use of office machinery

Basic Requirements

  • A BA/BS/BE degree in Engineering, Supply Chain/Logistics, Finance, or Business
  • 2 or more years of related experience in a Supply Chain/Logistics or high-volume manufacturing, distribution, production planning environment

Preferred Requirements

  • APICS certification desirable
  • Familiarity w/Organizational Agility concepts desired
