Supply Chain Planning Manager

The Supply Chain Planning Manager is responsible for the purchasing of all products & the optimal management of inventory levels to ensure on-time deliveries to meet customer requirements. Proactively communicates out of stock items to the organization & develops integrated forecasts for all SKUs to help achieve its strategic goals. Additional duties include fill rate tracking & the accuracy & flow of inventory through the company’s warehousing network/ supply chain.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Daily oversight of the Demand Planning team & management of product inventory across sites in North America.
- Achieve company KPI’s for inventory $, customer fill rate, forecast accuracy, & supplier OTD
- Daily ownership & operation of forecasting tool to help aid in optimizing inventory levels
- Management of the entire product forecast process working closely with Sales & Marketing
- S&OP strategic direction & process owner- connecting & communicate with all internal departments
- Responsible for Inventory allocation/ stocking strategy for all SKU’s across multiple warehouses
- Manages & drives all supplier partnerships with a heavy focus on continuous improvement
- Works closely with the PM team on new product launches ensuring accurate forecasts and proper placement of product inventory
- Owner of the E&O process working closely with sales & finance
- Responsible for the cycle count program & partnering with the operations team to ensure accurate inventory levels
- Establishes procedures and supervises the annual physical inventory
- Partners with purchasing & engineering teams on supplier quality & proactive management of out of spec product
- Interfaces with product line coordinators / hospitality teams on the planning and forecasting of customer orders
- Analyzes inventory slotting & warehousing pick path to optimize space & travel through each facility
- Informs upper management on product availability & market trends related to all product categories
- Analyzes data for supplier OTD and works with Buyers to implement improvements
- Identifies and implements cost savings opportunities through continuous improvement activities
- Maintains accurate & up to date documentation for all supply chain processes
- Ensures that the company standard practices and procedures are followed in connection with all materials department functions
Qualifications:
- BS/BA in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Business
- Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience buyer / planner / material scheduler role
- Minimum of 2 yrs in a Management role within Supply Chain / Purchasing/ Demand Planning
- Supply Chain Management Certification, preferred
- Expert applied knowledge of forecasting, MRP, transportation, inv mgmt., warehousing disciplines & budgeting process
- Ability to develop relationships and interact effectively with suppliers & customers
- Demonstrates an excellent customer service mindset interfacing with internal /external customers
- Solid organizational skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks within a changing environment
- Able to interpret industry and financial data and make business decisions based on the information
- Detail-oriented and possess strong problem-solving skills
- Active listener, and effective, professional communicator and negotiator (written & verbal)
- Dependable and flexible with the ability to work on additional assignments as needed
- Ability to work successfully in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities and strict deadlines
- Proficient with MS Office suite –advanced skills with MS Excel
- Strong sense of urgency & the ability to influence others while managing conflict
- Ability to self-direct and take constructive action
