Job Summary

The Supervisor, PACE Transportation works under the general supervision of the Manager, PACE Operations and is responsible for planning, organizing and implementing the transportation services for participants.

Accountabilities

  • Plans and coordinates all scheduling activities related to transportation for Palmetto SeniorCare PACE participants.

  • Supervises daily, the activities of the Driver/Aides. Provides Human Resource management, in conjunction with the RN, Manager, to assigned staff.

  • Responsible for coordination of all outside service providers of transportation.

  • Reviews and verifies all bills for services provided by outside contractors.

  • Ensures all necessary program records are maintained according to regulation.

  • Participates in the interdisciplinary team process.

  • Assesses participant homes for safety and fall risks related to transportation. Assessment is included in the intake process and with subsequent evaluations.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Supervisory/Management Responsibilities

Job has direct and/or indirect supervision of employees that may include final budget authority, hire/termination/disciplinary authority, performance appraisal responsibility. Job will be considered a member of the management staff with direct reports.

Minimum Education

High school diploma, GED or equivalent

Minimum Experience

At least two years supervisory experience. Must have one year experience working with the frail or elderly and one year of experience transporting individuals with special mobility needs.

Required Certifications/Registrations/Licenses

Valid driver’s license, an acceptable three-year motor vehicle record as defined by the Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) Chart, and a certificate of auto insurance.

Heartsaver certification.

Other Required Experience

Must have good interpersonal skills and be able to work effectively in a team environment. Driving is required for this position using a Palmetto Health vehicle. Employee will be expected to adhere to the Palmetto Health Driver Safety Policy and specific department driving policies. Employee must pass driver training.
