• 
  Supporting the mission statement of the Center.
• For each procedure, setting up and caring for equipment, including correctly assembling needed equipment, as appropriate, and any accessories considering unusual items and physician preference.
• Demonstrating acceptable disinfecting techniques
• Utilizing judgement in setting priorities and logical sequence and timing of major tasks, duties and procedures.
• Participating in daily cleaning activities and as scheduled.
• Organizing and straightening dirty utility and sterilizing room to allow for nurse and patient functioning.
• Storing supplies for Central Sterile, checking for defects and outdated material or supplies.
• Disposing of soiled linens and waste according to infection control guidelines.
• Preserving patient's rights and privacy through maintaining confidentiality in communications.
• Maintaining patient safety and protection from injury by proper utilization of safety devices, equipment and supplies.
• Maintaining personal safety and protection from injury through proper utilization of protective equipment.
• Utilizing proper body mechanics when lifting supplies.
• Coordinating functions in the Center to help maintain smooth operations to include:
  • Communicating with others in the Center
  • Obtaining supplies from other areas as needed
  • Returning supplies and equipment to the appropriate location
  • Assisting in keeping the Central Sterile area neat and orderly
  • Effecting handling health or safety hazards for self and patients
• Reporting any unusual occurences or incidents accurately to the Clinical Director.
• Performing other duties as required.
