Responsibilities
In keeping with the Dignity Health core values, the Surgical Technologist II is to function as a team member during the preoperative, intra-operative and postoperative phases of the surgical procedure.
This position is represented by SEIU, Local 399 and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.

Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Current BLS certification
  • Less than two (2) years recent hospital experience in the capacity of a Surgical Technologist and certification as a Surgical Technologist and completion of a Surgical Technologist Training course.
  • Demonstrates intermediate to advanced skills appropriate to the role of the Operating Room Technician.
  • Demonstrates ability to serve as a preceptor and role model for new Surgical Technologist staff and Surgical Technologist students during their clinical rotations.
  • Demonstrates ability to work within a decentralized model of patient care delivery.
  • Demonstrates a caring compassionate attitude toward others.
  • Demonstrates ability to organize and prioritize work efficiently.
  • Demonstrates ability to work in a stressful environment while remaining calm, efficient and focused.
  • Demonstrates ability to communicate clearly, concisely and accurately both in oral and written English skills.
  • Demonstrates ability and willingness to actively participate in continuing education programs, unit based task forces and committees.
  • Seeks opportunities for improving job knowledge and skills.
  • Demonstrates ability to assume on call status as determined by department manager and according to department needs.
  • Demonstrates ability to role model proficient intermediate or advanced technical skills and speciality skills.

Pay Range
$28.72 - $35.89 /hour
