The Switchboard Operator is responsible for answering and directing phone calls in a polite and fast manner. Utilization of an overhead paging system for codes and pertinent announcements and working alongside hospital patient registration is required. This position supplies information to Administration, Hospital and Nursing Home personnel, patients, and visitors. Typical work activities include handling administrative tasks, taking phone calls, transferring calls, providing information, and answering caller inquiries.
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
Clear and pleasant phone voice and good overall communication skills. Experience with computers and typing preferred.
