A day in the life of a SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR:

This job is for you if you:

The ideal candidate will have Data Center experience with Army and/or Governmental organizations in installing/rebuilding existing systems, storage, applications, etc. in accordance with industry and DoD (Department of Defense) standards, and project requirements. Experience with daily system monitoring, review of log files and backups (Veeam or Net Backup 7 preferred). Perform troubleshooting resolution efforts and make recommendations to improve system availability.

What we are expecting from you (i.e., the qualifications you must have):

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology preferred and seven years of relevant technical experience. Additional years of experience can be substituted in lieu of education requirements.
• Install / rebuild existing systems, storage, applications, etc. in accordance with industry and DoD (Department of Defense) standards, and project requirements
• Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures
• Install patches, apply security settings (STIGS), and perform regular monitoring to ensure the security posture of systems
• Perform backups of all data and maintain disaster recovery plans. Experience with either Veeam or Net Backup 7 preferred.
• Perform troubleshooting resolution efforts and make recommendations to improve system availability
• Maintain current knowledge of relevant technologies, industry standards, and DoD directives, as assigned
• Knowledge of VMware is desirable
• Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds
