System Administrator
The Fund is a quasi-state agency, public body corporate and governmental instrumentality of the State of West Virginia. We work to reduce homelessness and improve housing stability throughout the state by increasing the supply of housing for persons and families of low- and moderate-income through construction and mortgage financing. To date, the Housing Development Fund has issued more than $4.3 billion in bonds and has financed more than 120,000 housing units since it began operation in 1969. REPORTS TO: Chief Technology Officer
Job Summary: Employee will work with Information Services staff and be responsible for Installation, configuration and maintenance and troubleshooting of the Fund’s computer systems, network servers and virtualization environment.
Essential Functions:
Install configure, maintain and support Microsoft Windows Servers in a VMWare virtual environment;
Install, configure and maintain network server backup infrastructure for onsite and offsite backups;
Install, configure and maintain application and database servers such as Microsoft SQL and Microsoft Exchange and Agency specific applications;
Monitor network server and virtual environment performance and resolve issues;
Install patches and system updates to servers and applications;
Serves as backup for various functions within the department.

Work Environment/Physical Demands: The employee in this position may be required to sit at a desk for long periods of time. Routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, etc.
Required Education/Experience: High School diploma or equivalent. Three to five years of System Administration experience in a Windows Server and VMWare environment.
Preferred Education/Experience: . Professional Certification in relevant areas such as COMPTIA Server +, Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA), etc.. Experience managing workloads in a cloud environment such as Azure, AWS or Google a plus.
