Systems Administrator
The Systems Administrator provides an extraordinary experience being responsible for providing support to end users, answering technical questions related to the use of software, hardware, network, mobile devices, and remote access. Also responsible for identifying, analyzing, documenting, and rectifying issues via phone, email or remote software, as well as any other means available in a timely, professional, and efficient manner.
Qualities of the successful candidate include:
  • Understanding of Windows operating systems, printing systems and business applications required
  • 1-3 years of professional Windows workstation OS diagnostic and troubleshooting experience preferred
  • Experience with troubleshooting various technology systems and PCs
  • Open, monitor and update internal and external trouble and system change/update tickets with end users and various third-party vendors related to assigned systems to resolve issues and/or implement system updates/changes in a timely manner and communicate updates to parties accordingly
  • Setup, remove, and maintain employees in various applications. Perform monthly audits on applications and maintain user access controls
  • Work with supervisor to facilitate the destruction and removal of all obsolete hardware
  • Work with infrastructure team to utilize and maintain the Plains Commerce network
  • Provide On Call (after hours) support for Helpdesk calls as assigned by supervisor, which will include night and weekend support
  • Maintain critical IT Department documentation including but not limited to procedures, inventories, instructions, and reporting
  • Collaborates directly with users to resolve technical issues, obtains information to isolate the issue, offers technical advice or offers an acceptable short-term solution. Reports or escalates user issues to other IT team members when necessary
  • Works to complete routine daily, monthly, and quarterly IT tasks which may include report gathering, performance metrics, password changes etc
  • Identify problems, troubleshoot, and assist vendors and end users to ensure assigned systems/technologies are operational and issues are resolved in a timely manner. Coordinate with other IT personnel, departments, and vendors to resolve issues as necessary and appropriately communicate updates
  • Assist in process to add, delete, and reset user accounts in multiple systems
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor including but not limited to assisting in the completion and resolution of departmental projects, risk assessments, audits/exams, network and system security testing, disaster recovery testing and preparedness, end user education and other company wide IT initiatives
  • Practices branch security procedures and protects customer confidentiality and privacy
  • May perform additional duties as necessary to keep the Bank operating efficiently and effectively
Responsibilities of this position include (but not limited to):
  • Must possess strong organizational, communication, and planning skills and be able to effectively prioritize workload and complete accurate work-related documentation
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple assignments effectively in a highly interrupt-driven work environment required
  • Strong analytical skill to troubleshoot problems
  • Strong organizational and time management skills; project management skills preferred (ability to complete assigned projects with minimal oversight; ability to work with others as part of a project team)
  • Strong written communication skills with both technical and non-technical users and outside vendors
  • Ability to work effectively with all levels within an organization
  • Must be able to perform responsibilities with composure under the stress of deadlines / requirements for extreme accuracy and quality and/or fast pace
  • Must be able to effectively handle multiple, simultaneous, and changing priorities
  • Must be capable of exercising highest level of discretion on both internal and external confidential matters
  • Must be willing to travel occasionally as the position requires
