Job Summary
We are currently seeing an experienced System Administrator to join our team. The System Administrator must have a deep and broad knowledge of computer software, hardware and networks. S/He will be responsible for designing, organizing, modifying, and supporting our company’s computer systems.
Daily tasks may include installing, upgrading and monitoring software and hardware. The System Administrator will maintain the essentials such as operating systems, business applications, security tools, email, laptop, and desktop PCs.
Responsibilities
- Maintain company hardware and software programs
- Assist with closing Help Desk tickets associated with expertise
- Manage network servers and technology tools
- Set up accounts and workstations
- Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements
- Troubleshoot issues and outages
- Administer servers, laptop and desktop computers, printers, phones, mobile phones, software deployment, security updates and patches
- Ensure security and efficiency of IT infrastructure
- Run and terminate network cabling to new locations
- Develop expertise to train staff on new technologies
Requirements
- Proven experience as a System Administrator or similar role
- Knowledge of VMware and SAN technologies preferred
- Experience with Windows Server Administration and Active Directory
- Knowledge of VLANs/Networking a plus
- Knowledge of Office 365 a plus
- Knowledge of PowerShell a plus
- Knowledge of system security, computer imaging and data backup/recovery
- Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms
- Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude
- A self-starter who can work on a team and independently
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience with software development a plus
- Experience with databases and report writing a plus
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Cisco, CompTIA, Microsoft, Oracle, etc.) encouraged to apply
Requirements and Competencies:
Language Skills:
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret complex documents. Ability to communicate effectively to team members and management.
Experience/Certifications/Degrees Required:
- B.A/BS. Degree in related field or equivalent experience and H.S diploma.
Mathematical Skills:
- Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts.

Environment & Physical Demands:
- Professional office environment with routine use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, filing cabinets and fax machine; noise level typical of a standard office environment
- Prolonged sitting, computer and telephone use, as well as standing, filing, bending, reaching and lifting and carrying up to 15 pounds
- Occasional exposure to manufacturing plant floor requiring the use of personal protective equipment (ear plugs, safety glasses, etc.)

RPO offers highly competitive, total compensation packages linked directly to employee’s professional experience. Additionally, we work a 4/10 work week that provides for every Friday as a non-work day.
