The Systems & Security administrator oversees the day-to-day operation of all BRP Azure-based and operational applications, which is critical to the sales, business development, operations, and finance functions. The Systems & Security Administrator works with stakeholders to define system requirements and customize the platform to achieve business goals and enable users to get the most out of Salesforce technology. Staying current with the continuous evolution of the Azure ecosystem enables the Systems & Security Administrator to proactively present new and innovative solutions to stakeholders.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Identify and gather requirements, translating into best practice, scalable solutions with a focus on exceptional user experience
  • Identify unused or underutilized platform features
  • Experience with API connections between Salesforce and other applications (Mulesoft, Boomi, Etc.)
  • Own the communication, deployment and training related to platform changes, new features to end users and stakeholders
  • Data management to improve systems data quality, implementing rules and automation as needed
  • Proactive system maintenance including Security Reviews, Release Updates, Health Check, and Optimizer
  • End User support
  • Configuration changes focusing on automation and maintainability
  • Monitor and improve user adoption
  • Technical documentation
  • User security, access, and license management

Basic Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong verbal and communication skills are necessary as this position will be required to present complex information in a clear, digestible manner
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills
  • Proven track record of successfully meeting deadlines while producing high quality work
  • Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies to maximize performance, creativity, problem solving, and results
  • Ability to act and operate independently with minimal direction from manager to accomplish daily tasks
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills are a must in order to complete multiple projects simultaneously

Technical Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in IT administration, including Azure cloud administration
  • Strong understanding of Azure cloud services and architecture
  • Hands-on experience with Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates
  • Experience managing Azure Active Directory (AD), users, and groups
  • Proficient in PowerShell scripting for automating Azure tasks
  • Ensuring security updates are current across all systems
  • Running network tests and testing firewalls, creating patches or implementing new protocols as needed
  • Monitoring security administrations to ensure best practices
  • Liaising with complementary departments to ensure adherence to security protocols
  • Analyzing network systems and structures to ensure the most secure approach is being employed
  • Ensuring security tools are running properly on company networks and devices
  • Researching emerging threats and the safeguards that can provide protection
  • Protecting the digital system of a company
  • Developing systems for specialized security requirements based on specific company needs
  • Optimizing systems to ensure the network is supportive and responsive
  • Presenting findings, reports and solutions to upper management
  • Studying devices and implementing the best security protocols for everything from cell phones to tablets to laptops

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in IT administration, including Azure cloud administration
  • Azure Solutions Architect certification
  • Experience with Azure DevOps
  • Experience with Azure Site Recovery
  • Experience with Azure Monitor

Physical Requirements:

  • In this remote setting, and for most positions, the ability to remain in a stationary position is necessary. Examples include:
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 75% of the time
  • The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, supplies, and office machinery.
  • The person in this position frequently communicates with managers at remote locations using email and phone. Must be able to exchange clear, accurate information in these situations.
  • Occasionally moves equipment and supplies weighing up to 15 pounds
  • The person in this position frequently communicates and collaborates with co-workers in the office
  • Frequent keyboarding/use of computer for data entry
