At the Naval Base Ventura County (NBVC), SA-TECH performs operational, intermediate, and depot-level maintenance for aerial and seaborne assets in support of weapon systems test and evaluation and fleet training exercises. We manage all stages of aerial and seaborne target assets’ operational progression from initial inspection and configuration through deployment, return and post-operation maintenance and repair. We provide management, scheduling and execution of aerial and seaborne target operations; operation and maintenance of target recovery vessels (Aerial Vehicle Recovery [AVRs]); asset maintenance and depot repair; depot engineering assistance; recovery of aerial and seaborne assets; inventory management; and management of Government-furnished facilities, materials, vehicles and equipment.
We are currently looking for a part-time Systems Engineer for a six-month project at Point Mugu, CA that will involve the decomposition of system and infrastructure requirements.
Other functions of this role include (but are not limited to):

• Provide detailed program analysis and forecasting related to future capabilities and growth.
• The generation of technical material to support briefings to senior leadership.

Work Conditions:

• This position is anticipated to be 20 hours or less a week for an estimated six (6) months (not to exceed 12 months).
• This work will be accomplished in an office environment.

Requirements:Education/Experience/Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Electrical Engineering or related disciplines required.
• Experience with test and evaluation (T&E) of DoD weapon systems and the management and operations of test range infrastructures.
• Expertise with test range infrastructure system engineering, design, development, and operations for the U.S. Naval Air Systems Command and U.S. NAVSEA Systems Command is highly desirable.
• U.S. Citizenship required and you must be able to obtain a U.S. DoD Security Secret Clearance (minimum) prior to start date and maintain a clearance throughout employment.
• All candidates will be required to pass background screening to include SSN, Driver Record, and Criminal Background Investigation.
