POSITION SUMMARY
This is an MS Exchange Engineer position, providing other support functions as part of a team of dedicated datacenter-centric professionals. Perform advanced support and configuration of a hybrid MS Exchange environment with on premise SMTP Relay and Office 365 Exchange Online.
This position, under general supervision is responsible for ensuring the uptime, performance, and resource availability of Exchange and other IT systems (including IT data center facility operations). This position is the second level of the Systems Engineer series.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Assure the performance, security and functionality, and as part of team of other exchange admins, manage all aspects of an advanced hybrid MS Exchange environment, including on-premise exchange servers, exchange management platform and SMTP Relay. Troubleshoot and address email/calendar-related problems, working with Microsoft support and other admins as necessary for assuring success and minimizing downtime of an enterprise email environment.
- Mailbox management, data recovery, performing mail traces, adjusting global delivery configuration, working with IT security professionals to analyze and respond to Phishing attacks, configure connectors for mail delivery, compliance configuration and management, litigation hold data recovery and configuration
- Support other core Office 365 applications (one-drive, Teams etc.)
- Provide design, implementation and operational support for all County data centers and IT equipment rooms including component power, racking, cabling management, and security
- Participate in technical strategic planning and implementation of new data center projects and technologies to assure County’s uptime needs are continually met
- Support virtualized server environments, VMWare View Horizon VDI architecture, Exchange Online, Office 365 portal services, Skype for Business, IaaS and print services
- Support enterprise storage environment and chassis-based Cisco UCS environment
- Work with Network operations professionals to configure/support server environments as part of a Cisco ACI enterprise deployment
- Participate in technical strategic planning and implementation of new data center technologies to assure County’s uptime needs are continually met
- On-call after hours and weekend support is required
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Experience: Minimum of three years of progressively responsible technical systems experience
Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Computer Science

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Extensive experience supporting all aspects of an Enterprise MS Exchange hybrid environment.
- Cisco UCS and VMware Horizon
- VMWare vSphere 7.0
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of
- Office 365, MS Exchange and enterprise SMTP/email protocols
- DNS, SPF, DKIM, DMarc
- Troubleshooting and analysis of complex problems
- Understanding of a wide variety of Information Technology concepts and discipline areas
- Integration between multiple computing platforms

Pay: $76,760.00 - $115,140.00 per year
