Job description

Provide Model-Based System Engineering (MBSE) services using Cameo to identify program acquisition needs, developing Government Reference Architectures and model based acquisition architectures for Global Positioning System (GPS). Utilize MBSE to manage the execution of the systems engineering process, including interfaces, requirements, and operational concepts. Coordinate with prime contractor and government customer to determine MBSE support needs, and execute a plan of action to provide MBSE models of the system.

Responsibilities:

  • Capture stakeholder needs in models which include model based acquisition needs for GPS acquisitions
  • Provide leadership for LinQuest MBSE support to prime contractor in delivering Digital Engineering (DE) services
  • Develop and extend system models using existing requirements, interface documentation, and related design and systems engineering documents.
  • Integrate models to modern requirements management, architecture, and systems engineering software
  • Participate in auto-generation of system engineering / INCOSE-compliant artifacts from architecture models
  • Interface closely with and support evolving customer requirements
  • Provide supervision and management of junior engineers and modelers
  • Provide support toward growing and enhancing the MBSE capabilities of the GPS team
Required Skills:
  • Demonstrated MBSE tools experience with Sparx EA, Cameo, and/or DOORS
  • Demonstrated application of MBSE / DE capabilities in support of space system acquisition customers
  • Model-based engineering tool skills including knowledge and formation all SysML diagram types and their interaction and application employing DoD Architecture Framework (DODAF)
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office Products
  • Strong written, verbal communications and presentation skills; to include regular interactions with customers and decision makers
  • Ability to work autonomously with prime contractor and customers to define scope of technical engineering products, and define goals and milestones
  • Ability to coordinate as a team with prime contractor in delivering timely DE services to the customer
  • Demonstrate sound organizational skills to execute on a plan of action and milestones (POAM)
Preferred Skills:
  • Demonstrated ability to develop model based acquisition architectures including satellite communications and positioning, navigation, and tracking (PNT) systems
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate assignments involving systems / software engineering, development and integration activities (System-V)

Required Experience:
  • 4 years’ experience in modeling with MBSE and the DoD Architecture Framework using SysML
  • 4 years’ experience with Sparx EA and/or Cameo
  • 4 years' broad technical and managerial experience, including the management of customer interactions, scheduling tasks, managing multiple tasks/projects simultaneously, and the management of technology and applications to deliver products for a customer (commercial and/or government)
Preferred Experience:
  • Experience with developing SysML models for PNT systems
  • Experience working with US Space Force customers, specifically Space Systems Command
  • Object Management Group Certified Systems Modeling Professional (OCSMP)

Compensation:

  • Starting salary ranges from $140,000 to $160,000 depending on relevant experience and qualifications.
