POSITION SUMMARY:

Support the hiring activities and requirements throughout the company by prioritizing functional tasks and delegating workflow, as well as building and maintaining relationships with a high level of trust and integrity and ensuring organizational compliance with hiring policies and employment regulations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Implementation of sourcing strategies to find and attract both active and passive candidates, by conducting external searches through strategic sourcing techniques:

o Cold-calling

o Utilize advanced internet mining techniques

o Utilizes online social and professional networking sites to connect with potential passive candidates

o Attends job fairs/conferences as needed

  • Determine appropriate recruiting sources for advertising and posting positions based upon position specific requirements

o Provides performance feedback on all recruiting agencies/sources

  • Stay abreast of and utilized new, innovative and creative sourcing methods
  • Engage all stakeholders within the hiring process to ensure that search criteria are fully vetted
  • Maintain active engagement with all internal clients, candidates and recruiting sources to maximize opportunities for success in filling staffing requirements

o Maintain a well-qualified candidate pool and serve as an effective liaison for the organization with emphasis on developing relationships with a variety of applicant referral sources

o Works with hiring managers/groups to strategize short- and long-term recruiting plans Provide frequent briefings to hiring managers on the status of all hiring activities

o Promotes the company image to candidates and external service providers

  • Facilitate the candidate interview and offer process

o Pre-screens resumes and candidates to determine qualifications

o Organizes and participates in interview process

o Documents candidate evaluation and interview process

o Coordinates and leads a debriefing meeting between the hiring manager and the interview team participants

o Develop and/or negotiate new hire compensation package/offers

  • Use automated tools to maintain activity records and databases that ensure efficiency of candidate processing as well as organizational compliance with tracking and reporting requirements
  • Participate in the selection of a technical solution that will effectively address organizational needs for workflow management and compliance in recruiting activities
  • Provide mentoring and guidance to team members regarding effective recruiting techniques designed to maximize candidate flow
  • Work with organizational stakeholders to address issues related to recruiting requirements, as warranted
  • Specific duties may vary depending upon departmental requirements

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • 5+ years minimum experience in recruiting, at least 2 of which in a lead role/capacity

o Other management/supervisory experience may be substituted for ‘lead’ requirement

o Experience recruiting within technical and/or biotechnology fields, for such positions as Scientist, Engineers and Research Associates, as well as Sales, Manufacturing and Software Engineering specialists is required.

  • PHR or similar recruiting related credentials desirable
  • Formal certification/training in AIRS or other recruited-based techniques is preferred
  • Past experience using ATS and TMS strongly preferred

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Excellent presentation, interpersonal and communication (written and oral) skills are a must

o Strong telephone communication skills a must

  • Demonstrated capabilities and confidence for effectively facilitate throughout all levels within an organization and within a variety of mediums and environments
  • Ability to multi-task, handle numerous job openings at one time
  • Demonstrate strong customer service skills including detail-oriented follow up with hiring managers and candidates
  • Strong working knowledge of best practices regarding talent sourcing, employment programs, laws and processes
  • Ability to manage and schedule workflow with limited supervision; self-direct activities to accomplish projects and tasks within deadlines;
  • Demonstrated ability to provide effective mentoring and guidance to team members/recruiting professionals
  • Ability to effectively work with competing priorities and under urgent deadlines

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Local/regional travel may be required
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs
  • Extended periods of standing and/or sitting
  • Use of electronic equipment, including computers and telephones, for extended periods of time

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This position is performed in a traditional office environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
