JOB SUMMARY:
The Talent Acquisition & Development Manager drive and execute the North America Talent Acquisition, development and succession planning strategies for a retail population of about 1,500 employees and 180+ boutiques across the US and Canada. The role primarily focuses on the talent elevation of our retail population including District Managers, Store Managers, Assistant Store Managers and Beauty Advisors by attracting and retaining stellar candidates. The Talent Acquisition & Development Manager will be a key brand ambassador for L’Occitane.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage full cycle recruiting for salaried and non-exempt recruiting for assigned positions including District Managers, Store Managers and Assistant Store Managers
- Partner with hiring managers and Retail HRD to create standard job descriptions
- Source candidates using in-house systems, job boards, career fairs etc.
- Decide and select appropriate external staffing agencies as needed
- Conduct phone and in person interviews with candidates
- Select top candidates to share with hiring manager
- Coordinate interviews with interviewers
- Partner with hiring manager on the decision process
- Prepare salary proposal and offer letter
- Conduct reference check
- Extend offer to top candidate
- Develop and maintains a pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future needs
- Deliver excellent customer service and responsive communication with internal business groups
- Implement recruiting strategies that fit business needs and budget considerations
- Report Talent Acquisition KPI monthly and open positions status weekly
- Oversee recruiting of Beauty advisors for ‘’Hard to Fill’’ markets and for key seasonal business periods partnering with Store Managers and District Managers
- Support Store Managers/District Managers with field recruiting for ‘’Hard to Fill’’ markets
- Directly manage relationships, negotiation and performance with external recruiting agencies specialized in seasonal recruiting
- Track KPI, budget and progress of hiring campaign
- Develop recruiting strategies partnering with Store Managers and District Managers to attract and recruit boutiques staff known as Beauty Advisors
- Enhance tools & collaterals available to Store Managers to attract top talent to the organization
- Oversee the development of a talent map and talent bank of external talent, tapping into colleges, beauty schools and professional organizations as appropriate
- Train, coach and support hiring managers with interviewing best practices
- Support Talent Management within the retail organization
- Support Retail HRD with quarterly Talent Review process
- Support Retail HRD with Pay Review process
- Execute succession plans and fill open position internally
- Support implementation of development programs and initiatives
- Deliver presentation / training sessions to elevate Store Managers skills with Talent Management, Onboarding, etc.
- All other duties or projects as assigned

REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION:
- BA in Human Resources, Business or related field of study. Master’s Degree preferred
- SPHR or SHRM-SCP designation is strongly preferred
EXPERIENCE:
- 8+ years of Human Resources experience with progressively increasing responsibilities within the Retail Industry and preferably the beauty industry
- 2+ years of Project Management experience in multisite environment
- Experience must include Talent Acquisition, Talent Management

- Spanish speaking or other language fluency a plus
PHYSICAL & TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able work in normal office conditions
- Must be able to work 8 hours per day and be on his/her feet for extended periods of time
- Must be able to travel via airplane within the U.S. and Internationally more than 50% of the time
- Must be able to drive a car
The salary range for this role is $80,000 - $85,000 for the NYC region (based on skills, experience and with differentials applied if outside of NY).
