GENERAL FUNCTION AND JOB DUTIES

Central Piedmont is in search of a Talent Development Facilitator for the Central campus. Central Piedmont’s Talent Development department is responsible for the holistic development of Central Piedmont employees in the areas of core competency attainment to enhance job performance efficiencies. We share the college’s values and strategic goals to support faculty and staff in serving as champions of students, catalysts for opportunity, and exceptional providers of learning experiences.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday

Work Hours: 40 hours


General Function

Supports Talent Development in the design and delivery of quality training and development opportunities using research-based standards, effective and innovative tools, and best practice instructional strategies.


Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities

1. Designs and facilitates quality training and development solutions which include a blended
approach to learning, such as classroom training, hybrid, and virtual learning.

2. Coordinates and facilitates new employee orientation and onboarding programs, for both part-time and full-time faculty and staff.

3. Supports Employee Engagement through departmental retreats, interactive workshops, and
programs.

4. Identifies development needs across the institution; provides direction and guidance regarding
content selection, instructional design, and execution.

5. Coordinates planning, delivery, and quality review of Talent Development offerings.

6. Collaborates with various teams, leaders, and subject matter experts to identify trends, clarify
needs, and design customized training solutions.

7. Reviews and synthesizes data associated with needs assessment, programming, and forecasting of organizational learning needs.

8. Performs other duties as assigned.


Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Characteristics

  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to design programming to meet learning needs of employees
  • Strong coaching skills
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office and Google products
  • Ability to interact and provide information to individuals or groups with diverse background

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in Communications, Human Resources, Business, Instructional Design or a related field and a minimum of 2 - 5 years’ experience in training and development


Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree from a regionally accredited institution in Communications, Human Resources, Business, Instructional Design or related field
  • Professional certifications/designation such as ALP, DiSC, MBTI, WPB5
  • Coaching experience/certifications
  • Equity, Diversity, & Inclusion knowledge and facilitation experience

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

Salary for this position is $47,817 - $61,000. Pay grade for this position is L. Initial placement for new employees is customarily at entry level through 25% percentile. Contract type is Professional. Ability to work a flexible schedule, which may include off-shift hours, evening and weekend assignments may be required of any position. All positions are subject to budget approval.
