An Accounting firm is looking for an experienced Tax Manager to join the fast-growing professional services in-office team.

The firm services hundreds of small business owners and high net worth individuals across multiple advisory offering including Tax Planning, Tax Implementation, and Chief Financial Officer services. Unlike most tax firms focused on compliance, the firm helps clients proactively implement strategies that save them money on taxes and help build a stronger financial future.

Location: Miami, FL (Remote work will be considered for candidates in Washington state or Florida state)

Salary: $100K+ (DOE)

Work hours: 8-17 or 9-18

What You’ll Do

• Train and become a tax planning advisor helping walk clients through different strategies that may help them make smarter tax and financial decisions.
• Prepare and review year end tax returns for small business clients and high net worth individuals.
• Prepare and present tax planning kickoff calls, implementation calls and quarterly calls engaging the clients with their tax questions throughout the year.
• Record tax entries within client’s accounting system and spot potential tax errors
• Run from start to finish a tax planning engagement from the initial kickoff meeting to the presenting of the strategies and identification of implementation strategies.
• Maintain training materials for internal tax staff to help train to become tax planning advisors.
• Keep up to date with latest tax legislation changes and IRS pronouncements as they become available.
• Spend time researching strategies that may apply to clients to help keep up to date with the evolving tax industry.

Requirements

• 3+ years of working in public accounting on taxes for individuals and small businesses owners
• 1+ years of people management experience
• Must be a licensed tax preparer, EA, or CPA
