Responsibilities:

Knowledge of music theory and developmental learning methods
-
Passionate about working with K-5 students in a general music capacity ie. singing, movement, dance, instruments, pitch, rhythm and music notation, etc.

Ability to teach music elective classes for 6th-8th grade students
-
Ability to plan and prepare events such as grade-level performances and concerts
-
Effectively manages all aspects of classroom operations: attendance, classroom management, student evaluation, parent conferences, etc.

Conducts an organized and professional classroom
-
Has an unwavering belief that all children can and want to learn
-
Supports all students, including students who are linguistically diverse or have an IEP or 504 plan
-
Develops and implements a curriculum to master of Colorado state standards
-
Collaborates with other faculty in the delivery of appropriate instructional approaches, working to serve the various learning styles and needs of all students
-
Shows empathy and understanding of students
-
Creates a safe learning environment where each child excels
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education or Related Field
-
Current Colorado Department of Education License with an Endorsement in Music -
-
Expert-level written and oral communication skills
-
Strong self-starter; able to work with limited direction
-
Able to work 7:15 AM-4:00 PM M-F
Salary: $45,000 - $64,000
