** This is for a brand new location opening in the Washington D.C. Penn Quarter area**
Position: Team Leader
PAY: $15.20-$17.25 Depending on experience.
Position Description: Team Leaders exist to encourage, serve, and empower their team to uphold our service and hospitality standards. They are ultimately responsible for the success or failure of a shift. The ideal TL is excited to be flexible and creative in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.


How Team Leaders Serve Our Guests and Our Team:
  • Leading and communicating with a team of 4-10
  • Creating a fun, positive atmosphere
  • Opening and closing the store
  • Ensuring operational excellence on shift by:
  • Making sure games start on time
  • Facilitating team member breaks
  • Upholding TEG standards
  • Addressing maintenance issues
  • Managing cash/inventory
  • Ensuring each guest has a five-star experience

Job Requirements:
  • At least 2 months of experience and mastery of the Game Guide and GES positions. For a store launch, you will need to enter in as a Game Guide and be trained to Team Leader fairly quickly. This could take up to 2 months.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability with 1-2 years experience in a guest-facing setting preferred
  • Flexible availability. Hours are based on store business needs. Must have availability to works nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
  • Must be able to handle physical activity as it relates to the job such as deep cleaning, painting, standing, crawling, bending, lifting 30-40 lbs and minor game repairs.
  • Quickly resetting numerous locks, drawers, shelves, and game components within specific time frames outlined in
    training.

Position Details:
  • Our store is open anywhere from 7am until 12am (or after) during normal operating hours. However, during a new store launch (the first month or two) the hours will be adjusted as we are in training. Shifts will be more like mid-shifts (for example 12:30pm-9:30pm).
  • At TEG we adjust the shifts based on business needs. This is further explained in interviews.
  • Full Time (FT) for this position means: Hourly is 30 hours per week, most available hours are Thursday- Sunday. Nights, weekends and holidays are our most available times for hours for our FT team members. 4-5 shifts per week is normal for FT team members.
  • Part Time (PT) for this position means: Less than 30 hours per week.
