Founded in 1953, Hudson Valley Community College (HVCC) located in scenic Upstate NY is a multi-campus College with locations in Troy and Malta New York. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Associate’s Degree and two years of experience maintaining financial accounts and records, strong organizational skills. A relevant Bachelor’s Degree is preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required. Experience with Ellucian Banner System preferred.

DUTIES AND/OR RESPONSIBILITIES: The Technical Assistant, Community and Workforce Development, reports to the Assistant Director, for Workforce Development and will perform the following duties:

  • Assists in coordinating credit-free courses including scheduling of courses, faculty and facilities. Assists with building credit-free master schedule.
  • Works with Communication and Marketing as well as graphics to develop and design brochures and special flyers to advertise programs.
  • Assists in registration process for credit-free courses including enrollment reports, registration deposits, certificates of residence, third party payments and refunds.
  • Assists in coordinating programs for special populations including but not limited to, kids on campus, motorcycle and global classroom initiatives.
  • Processes paperwork for the hiring of new credit-free faculty.
  • Prepares all necessary documents for audit of state-aid able courses.
  • Assists in supervising of the activities of support and temporary staff.
  • Works closely with the Financial Aid Office to develop procedures for credit-free students to use TAP and PELL and other financial opportunities for funding credit-free programs.
  • Assists with reconciliation of account funds including grants and apprenticeships as well the scanning and indexing of files, filing and maintaining order of department files.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


This is a Full-Time 37.5 hour a week position with a salary range of $35,000-$38,000.
