We are seeking a Technical Director to become an integral part of our team! Our ideal candidate will have at least four years of experience in directing the production of live and recorded events to help us build the identity and brand of our 24/7 streaming channel.

StockCharts TV is the only 24/7 video streaming channel devoted exclusively to financial charting and technical analysis from the industry's top market experts. With a constant stream of technical charting-focused content, both live shows and pre-recorded video, there's always something insightful, educational, and entertaining to watch. We recently passed 70,000 subscribers on our YouTube channel. Can you help us reach 100,000 and beyond?

Responsibilities

• Work with producers to facilitate live and recorded shows, interviews, and live events
• Direct the audio and visual portions of live and recorded broadcasts utilizing production crews and automated production systems
• Work with our studio engineer and collaborate with external vendors to troubleshoot technology issues and optimize studio operation
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
• Work with creative team to establish look and feel of shows

Qualifications

• At least four years' experience working in a TV studio or remote live event production environment.
• Strong technical aptitude and experience with television control room and studio production technology including knowledge/skills with audio mixers, robotic camera controls, production automation systems, non-linear editing systems, and automated on-air play out systems. Familiar with video switchers, character generators, DVE's and video servers.
• Show a demonstrated experience with editing content using non-linear editing systems, audio operation and camera or graphics experience a plus.
• Have a comprehensive understanding of video codecs and compression used for streaming video and online video archives.
• Knowledge of various file types, codecs, framerates, and dimensions—must be able to use programs to manipulate video and audio to create whatever file is needed for a specific producer/project.
• Must have the ability to organize and manage shifting priorities under tight deadlines and in high-pressure situations.
• Must have the ability to multitask and adapt quickly to change.
• Must be dependable, a self-starter and operate with a high degree of accuracy. Having initiative and the ability to motivate others is critical.
• Must be adaptable, enthusiastic, have initiative, ability to handle criticism, even-temperament and a positive approach to problem solving
• Excellent organization and communication skills
• Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Network/TV experience a plus
