As Senior Technical Instructor/SME, you will support Navy ship maintenance and repair efforts to improve coordination and communication between surface ship maintainers and operators that will build long-term trust and improve confidence in evolving relationships. The goal of this project is to standardize policy and processes to facilitate the sharing of best practices, improved contract oversight, consistency in work performance, and higher standards of quality. As a result, the Navy customer will be able to more effectively deploy fully qualified Sailors and civilians to any maintenance center location to meet surge industrial requirements as a result of operational or fiscal necessity.

As the Lead Facilitator, you will serve as the Enterprise Integrated Project Team SME and lead the scheduling, management and delivery of IPTD requirements.

Clearance Required:

  • Must be a US citizen with a DoD Secret security clearance

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the IPTD Program by supporting the implementation, refinement, and improvement of the IPTD program
  • Perform as Project Manager and/or Assistant Project Manager Roles for IPTD.
  • Provide various types of management and technical support from onsite/offsite locations to a wide range of IPTD events.
  • Integrate with Workforce Development (WFD) initiatives and planning.
  • Provide Master IPTD Schedule that de-conflicts with WFD.
  • Coordinate meetings, conferences, and events critical to maintenance and modernization stakeholders, i.e., M2E, MMPR, CNO Monthly Availability Reviews w/AD HOC Groups like CG/LSD Mod working groups
  • Coordinate with other contractors in the enterprise, performing IPTD type work located in fleet concentration areas.
  • Provide face to face interaction with Project Teams and all surface maintenance and modernization stakeholders.
  • Draft IPTD Instructions, policies and IPTD Events. Execute IPTD Events per directives. Ensure deliverables are communicated and received on time.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications (Required):

Professional experience must include a Minimum five (7) years' to (10) years’ experience

This position must have experience in the following:

  • Navy Surface Ship Repair and Modernization and Regional Maintenance Center Project Team Roles and Responsibilities
  • COMUSFLTFORCOM INST 4790.3, Joint Fleet Maintenance Manual (JFMM)
  • Navy Maintenance Database (NMD)
  • NAVSEA Contracting Policy
  • Strategy Maintenance center
  • Project Team Roles/Responsibilities
  • NAVSEA Standard Items (NSI)
  • Instructing or facilitating.
  • Possess strong organizational skills and be articulate in all areas of Surface Ship Maintenance within the IPTD Program.
  • High comfort level with addressing address forums comprised of varying maintenance and modernization stakeholders ranging from junior to Flag/SES military/civilian levels.
  • Writing skills that adhere to Navy standards and ability to prepare reports that are clearly understood by all stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience facilitating/instructing courses and training students commensurate with Navy maintenance training standards.

- Candidate must have active SECRET DoD Security Clearance

Pay: $73,570.00 - $83,819.00 per year
