Vertiv is hiring a Technical Program Manager (TPM) in Westerville, OH to manage our Field Change Notice (FCN) program and expand the Technical Support teams' reporting capabilities along with Smartsheet and Metrics development. Additionally, there may be the administration of new single or multiple level projects. The position will be responsible for ensuring the goals and objectives of assigned projects are accomplished within prescribed time frame, reported on as required by performing the following duties utilizing project management practices and philosophy.

The team provides customer facing support related to Product Warranty support. This includes warranty program development and management, sales concessions, program management, and FCN, augmented with all required metrics and reporting. These programs support all line of businesses.

Responsibilities

This role includes, but is not limited to the following:

  • FCN Program Management:
    • Deployment
    • Supplier Negotiation (Supplier level of responsibility and fiscal accountability)
    • Tool and Training (FCN required tools) identification
    • Field Performance Tracking
    • Program reporting and cost recovery
    • Administration from release though closeout
    • customer and internal communications
    • Campaign closure
    • Organize, schedule and run the monthly Global Technical Advisory & FCN Meeting Series with global leaders for service and software businesses.
    • Lead, coordinate and track the Americas FCN process. Manage and lead review meetings with appropriate business groups and FCN team. This would include issue validation, approval of service with Factory Quality (responsible party) and posting and release of service information in Technical Knowledge Online (TKO).
    • Organize and coordinate review of active FCN services with appropriate groups to determine service duration end dates for closure activities and necessary communications.
    • Support for other Vertiv business groups for better understanding of the Implementation and Closure process phases.
  • Technical Support Metrics and Reporting Support:
    • Responsible for development and maintenance of department reports and metrics
    • Design and maintain Smartsheet for department for FCN, Warranty, RCAR, and others as necessary.
    • Design and maintain Dashboards (Smartsheet and PowerBi) for Critical Department Metrics

Education and Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent training and experience
  • Proven experience and training may be accepted in lieu of a four-year degree requirement.
  • CAPM or PMP certification and/or equivalent experience highly desirable
  • Working Knowledge of the Data Center environment is desired

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience with project management standards and/or database administration
  • Strong knowledge of project management standards and practices
  • Experience in Smartsheet and PowerBi required; Power User preferred
  • Requires high degree of communication, supervisory and organization skills.
  • Possess a positive attitude and flexibility in a rapidly changing environment
  • Detail oriented and self-motivated with the ability to work without direct supervision
  • Proficient PC skills including all Microsoft Office products and web-based technologies.
  • Exceptional analytical skills, independent problem-solving skills, and attention to detail is a must.
  • Experience with database management and business intelligence a plus.
  • Generate innovative ideas to streamline and simplify processes.
  • Self-motivated and willing to take ownership of project goals.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and escalate issues.

Travel: 10%
