Summary:

The TSS (Technical Service Support) Milking & Cooling Specialist is responsible for coaching the Lely Center (LC) dealer employees and their stakeholders to become independent consultants able to assure the improvement of the financial well-being of Lely customers, by providing technical and equipment management guidelines for dairies. This position requires a thorough understanding of the dairy industry and equipment to effectively communicate solutions with Lely Centers and dairy owners. This position collaborates regularly and directly with product management, service technicians, Lely Centers, and customers to ensure products operate properly. This position requires travel approximately 40-50% of the year domestically and/or internationally via car or plane.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• This position prepares Lely Center employees to prevent and/or resolve technical problems that may occur with Lely Solutions on dairy farms by offering technical support, training, and assistance to effectively resolve issues and/or complaints.
• Analyze TSS Field Intelligence statistics and work collaboratively with other departments to determine opportunities for improvement.
• On-site visits to gather information, properly diagnose project and/or product issues, and provide solutions.
• Keep up-to-date on the market requirements and identify new product applications for large dairies in North America.
• Ensure full project coordination from sale to the successful operation of large dairy milking and feeding systems.
• Supports the design and development of manuals, training aids, and other technical materials for Lely Centers.
• Upon request, participate and assist in sales meetings and trade shows.
• This position includes offering phone technical support (hotline) for North America based on a rotational schedule.

Education and/or Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree from four-year college or university and five to 10 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Extensive knowledge of electronics, computers, PC networking, and CAN-bus communication.

• Develop a deep working knowledge of dairy milk processing equipment; fluid flow, valving, regulations, hygiene, cooling, etc.
• Solution-oriented with the ability to learn and create new solutions and processes to provide technical assistance in large complex situations.
• Inspire OneLely team culture with attributes to bridge teams across LNA business segments.
• Team player with solid people skills who can be a strong motivator and coach to the Lely Center employees and North America staff.
• Skilled at reading, analyzing, and interpreting common and/or product-specific technical information.
• Ability to write speeches and/or articles for training that conform to prescribed style and format.
• Ability to calculate figures such as capacity, dynamics, performance, percentages, and proportions.
