SDI International is seeking a Technical Writer 12 Month Contract for our client in the Raleigh/Durham, NC area

The Technical Writer is responsible for generating innovative ideas for content while working both independently and collaboratively as part of a team. The position research products, services, technology, or concepts to be documented and easily understood by a broad audience. A Technical Writer writes descriptive manuals and guides for complex subjects. Their duties include researching topics, writing documents, and editing their work for publication.

· Analyze application requirements and provide schedule input

· Ability to learn a large framework

· Lead the team to develop application software in an Agile methodology

· Support software test efforts & provide production support

· Generate and validate product documentation

· Ability to take function specifications and generate required code

· Approximately 0-10% travel, may include some international travel

· Client facing professionalism and skills

Required Skills / Qualifications:

· Experience working with technical and nontechnical team members and stakeholders at different levels in IT field.

· Experience working in technical Agile/Scrum teams, with ability to follow and meet evolving project requirements and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

· Professional Writing or Creative Writing is a big plus.

· Willingness to learn new processes, tools and professional talents

· Ability to work in highly collaborative environment with minimal supervision

· Is adaptable proactive and self-motivated.

· Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, English, Literature, and/or Writing a plus.

· > 5+ Years of experience as Technical Writer or similar role.

· > 5+ years of experience in strong analytical and writing skills including solid experience writing and analysis documentation for multiple audiences.

· > 5+ Experience creating and using infographics such as diagrams, screenshots, charts, workflows, and graphics that increase users’ understanding.

· Experience working with technical and nontechnical team members and stakeholders at different levels in IT field.

Preferred Skills/Qualifications:

> TGCS hardware Point of Sale product knowledge would be beneficial. ·

· > Familiarity with IXIA Soft Content Management System a plus Experience with Dojo framework

· 2+ years of experience developing on Linux

· 1+ years of experience developing on Windows
