Job Title: CAD Technician (In Office or Remote)


Summary

Royston Group is a leading supplier for grocery, convenience store, retail and laboratory with 9 production facilities (7 domestic and 2 international). The business is owned by a Private Equity company and is growing through a series of acquisitions along with organic growth. The Royston Group has brought under one umbrella a group of industry leading businesses and is honing them into one company. This role will play a key role in driving this strategy of “One Royston”.

Royston LLC currently has an immediate opening for a CAD Technician that can be an office or remote position. The successful candidate will report directly to the CAD Manager. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a friendly work environment with a team that is dedicated and passionate about the organization.


Purpose

To receive drawing requests and produce technically correct drawings per customer requirements in a deadline driven environment. This role will work with various clients across multiple simultaneously ran projects. Royston currently has 1 immediate opening for a CAD Technician.

Essential Functions/Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prompt and accurate processing of customer requests to develop remodel plans used by our construction partners.
  • Coordination of work with other team members to maintain necessary production schedules to meet customer deadlines.
  • Using existing software and protocols, process and update as-built drawings to ensure accuracy prior to remodel design.
  • Develop 360° picture mapping to be used by clients to virtually walk-through existing stores.
  • Support the department as needed in various tasks when called upon.


Knowledge & Skills

Required:

  • Proficiency in Autodesk design software or equivalent including AutoCAD(2D)
  • Proficiency in MS Office products
  • Communication Skills – potential for client engagement during design phase
  • Innovative problem solving
  • Ability to work within a team environment


Preferred:

  • 2-4 years of experience in an Engineering or related field
  • Experience in fast paced, high output design planning a plus
  • Experience in creating 2D floor plans
  • Ability to understand architectural floorplans
