General Summary of Duties:
This position will perform a variety of duties necessary for assisting the CT and MRI technologists including getting all patients back and dressed for exam, explain procedures and screen patients. Keeping patients informed of wait times and keeping the comfortable during their time in Imaging.
Qualifications:
I. Education:
a. High School diploma or GED required.
II. Experience
a. Previous experience in the medical field is preferred but not required.
b. Proficient with computer and data entry.
III. Necessary Skills:
a. Ability to maintain a positive attitude and provide great customer service under stressful situations.
- Ability to communicate in a clear, concise, and pleasant manner in both verbal and written form.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Ability to adapt quickly to change.
- Ability to work both independently and with co-workers.
- Ability to use and manage time efficiently.
- Ability to follow the direction of supervisory personnel.
Essential Job Functions
- Greet everyone with a smile.
- Be in the department and ready to work at scheduled start time.
- Get patients back and dressed for exams.
- Screen patients and explain procedures.
- Keep patients comfortable and informed of wait times
- Offer assistance and directions to patients who appear lost (escort to destination when necessary).
- Answer phones and direct the calls appropriately
- Any other duties that the technologists deem necessary for daily operation.

a. This position is a non-supervisory role.

- Assist during staffing shortages by performing additional duties or working overtime as necessary.

- Participate in continuing education to enhance skill level.
- Participate in activities that lead toward the established goals of the Harbin Clinic.
- Attend all training required by Harbin Clinic (Orientation, Customer Service, OSHA, and Compliance, etc.) as directed.
- Maintain current knowledge of all computer equipment and software applications (IDX, EMR, etc.) used at Harbin Clinic.
- Attend departmental staff meetings and in-services.
