Title: Vascular Technologist
Shift: Full Time
Hours: Rotating weekday and weekend nights; 12 hour shifts 6:30pm-7am
Department: General Radiology

Preferred Qualifications:
- Registered in Vascular-RVT
- ARDMS
Perform vascular diagnostic procedures to detect peripheral vascular disease or obstructions.
- Evaluate patient for presence of peripheral vascular disease by selecting most effective procedures within regulatory and compliance guidelines.
- Perform appropriate diagnostic procedures, record patient test results and report results.
- Monitor patient comfort and safety during tests, alerting physicians to abnormalities or changes in patient responses.
- Maintain adequate supplies and verify all equipment is in proper working condition; report deficiencies and failures.
- Position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately.
- Ensure all activities comply with regulatory agency standards.
- Ensure prompt submission of high-quality of all images and document sent to PACS (image quality, correct lead markers and patient data/history).
- Assist in maintaining a clean, and orderly department to include procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, film storage area and any other areas in department.
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- One or more of the following required:
- Sonography Tech specializing in Vascular Sonography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- Sonography Tech specializing in Vascular Sonography credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- Sonography Tech specializing in Vascular Sonography credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Education:
- High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Technical degree required.
